Visuals:
Condemned is a very dark game with a very dark and grey color palette. Although the game has a brightness control that can be adjusted at any time during the game, it can still often be hard to see even with perfect eyesight.

Additionally, this game lacks another feature that many other dark games have; something that calls your attention to items that can be picked up. It can be very easy for items to blend in with the background, or to not notice them until the player is standing on top of them when the prompt finally appears.

This game however, is red-green color blind friendly. No prompts or meters are tracked by being in a red-green state.

Controls:
Condemned offers three preset control schemes, and does not offer remappable controls. Two of these control schemes are the same with only the sprint and blocked buttons swapped. All three of these control schemes have the block and fire controls on the left and right trigger buttons respectively. These to buttons are the most frequently used in the game. If you cannot quickly alternate the use of these controls, this game is probably not for you, and is likely hard for the one handed gamer.

Condemned offers options in adjusting both the aim and trigger sensitivity, inverting the x and y axis, and enabling south paw controls.

Precision:
This game requires both the use of precision aiming and timing. Enemies can often move very fast and the amount of time it takes for you to block and attack varies per weapon. If you cannot handle other fast paced first person shooters, this game is likely not for you.

Subtitles/Audio:
This game is subtitled, and all important story elements are covered. However, many enemies ambient dialogue is not subtitled. Due to this, players with hearing impairments may not become aware of an enemies presence until they can actually be seen, which in such a dark game can be very difficult.

The game does provide the options for adjusting the game sounds, voice, and music volumes.

Other:
This game offers 3 difficulty settings and game play hints. Its also has the option to turn the cross hairs on or off.
