Nothing is as cute as a roly-poly chubby little fat cat, right?  Well, what if that same cat was eating sushi?!?  Of course!  No one can resist a cat eating sushi.  And that's exactly what this week's Ioo Web game of the week, Sushi Cat, is all about.

If you have ever been a fan of the Price is right game “Plinko,” then you are going to love this.  Each level begins by giving you three chances to drop your fat cat from the top of the screen down through the course into a bin worth a certain amount of points.

Along the way, your cat can bounce off of different objects sending him helplessly spiraling down the screen.  Your goal is to pick the correct spot to get your cat to collect as many pieces of sushi as possible before hitting the bottom.

In order to complete each level you have to collect a certain amount of sushi, but that's not all. As your cat eats sushi he becomes increasingly larger, which makes him fit into some pretty awkwardly tight spaces.

After your cat has had enough, you'll enter a “sushi frenzy” that allows you to move on to the next level.

The game is relatively short and only has 15 levels with four cut scenes.  The story line is cute but it doesn't make a lot of sense.  The game maker is Japanese, which gives some culturally different spins to the story.  However, even with its abrupt ending, the story is straight to the point and doesn't drag on.

Accessibility

For the motion impaired and one-handed gamers, this web-based game is very easy.  You only need to use the mouse to move the cat left or right and then click the left mouse button one time to send him on his way.  While not exactly one-switch, it is relatively close.

There are no audio cues for deaf gamers to worry about and there are no colorblind issues because the colors don't matter.

Overall, a very accessible and relatively short yet fun game.  But don't take our word for it, go eat some sushi and get your fat cat on.
