The life of a freelance interstellar galactic pilot is never done.  You have your aliens, other aliens, other aliens that are alien to the aliens; it's really quite a mess. In this week's Ioo Web game of the week we attempts to thin the alien herd in Starmageddon.

The game is actually quite fun and the accessibility is top-notch. You are an alien killing machine with multiple upgrades and those upgrades have upgrades.  When you start out, your ship only has one gun but as you kill enemies you gain coins that can be used to purchase those upgrades.

As time goes on, you will add multiple guns that shoot in all directions. Eventually, you end up with a hostile bullet spewing death machine.  The guns automatically fire, so there's no need to worry about clicking at the right time.

The only button you need to worry about is firing the laser shield, which not only does damage but also creates an impenetrable force field around your ship saving you from damage.

There are two different modes mouse only mode in which you sink your mouse to the ship and throw your mouse around to maneuver while clicking to activate the shield, and keyboard mode in which you use the keys to maneuver and raise your shields. In both modes, you'll fire automatically.

There is no audio of importance whatsoever. In fact, I ended up turning off my sound because it was so annoying.  Deaf gamers will have no problems playing this game.

There are red and green little circles that you need to run over with your ship. However, the action is so fast and furious that I didn't even take the time to look at the colors. Avoid the lasers and the circles that are bigger, and you won't need to see the colors.

One-handed gamers and mobility impaired have their choice of the easiest way to move about. Most either way that you can play games, this game will accommodate you.

Finally, cognitively speaking this game would be very difficult. If you have problems with fast reaction times and noticing patterns, this game may be difficult for you.

Any way around it, this game is fun and really accessible. Try your hand at battling the evil forces of alien doom today.
