Not says fun like looking down the scope of a sniper rifle. In this week's Ioo Web game of the week, we bring you tidings of mass murder and joy.  You must become an elite sniper, capable of destroying people, artillery, and even tanks with your trusty rifle in Snipedown.

The game starts out simple enough, shoot incoming enemy troops before they get to your bunker. Once they are in range of your defenses, they will begin shooting lowering the hit points of your building. Once the life bar reaches zero, your campaign is over.

In addition to the many upgrades to your sniper rifle, you are given turrets and special power ups. These power ups are a bit different than normal, you actually use them to call down artillery, airstrikes, napalm bombs, and mortar shells. These are important for taking out massive amounts of enemies if you start to fall behind.

You must use the mouse to control your sniper rifle and left click or space bar to fire.  There are keyboard shortcuts, as well as buttons, for all of the upgrades, power ups, and turret positions.  Mobility impaired and one-handed gamers who can use the mouse will be able to play this with no problem.

This is not a one-switch friendly game. However, you can have the space bar or left mouse button held down the entire time. Your rifle will fire every time it is reloaded, automatically.  Thus, you can simply move the mouse around and wait for things to fall over.

The life bars above the enemies are red and green. This may present some problem for the colorblind but I didn't notice myself caring about watching those bars anyway. This game is mostly a point, click, and shoot type of game.

There are no audio cues and all of the tutorials are in text. Deaf gamers will only miss the sound of the gunshot, which can be turned off in the options setting for those who don't want to hear it.

Overall, a very interesting title but ultimately rather short. Nevertheless, sniper games are always extremely popular and we highly recommend you check out Snipedown as an excellent stress reliever when the boss isn't looking. Most games will only take 15 minutes. Enjoy!
