Ioo's Web Game of the Week: Foxy Sniper 2 – 125% more foxy 25% less clothes

foxysplash.jpgNew from Addictive Games and the Ultimate Flash Game Archive comes Foxy Sniper 2.  Foxy sniper 2 is the second in a series of violent cartoon shooting games.  You assume the role of Agent Foxy, a super secret agent who wields a lot of firepower but not a lot of clothing.  As with all sniper games, you control the guns and must aim at the correct target or targets in a particular pattern.

This game goes beyond your typical sniper shooter by giving you multiple weapons.  You have your standard sniper rifle but you also receive armor piercing rounds, rocket propelled grenades, and spy bugs.  The game takes a minute to begin well you get to watch an incredibly boring advertisement.  Once the game begins, you are presented with your headquarters.  You can go to your computer room, practice shooting, check-in with the scientists, or begin a mission.

In order to shoot, you must press the spacebar to zoom in and look through your sniper scope.  You shoot by using your left mouse button and aiming with the mouse to the target specified in the briefing.  Most of the rounds are not timed, allowing you to assess the situation before shooting.  The spy bugs are controlled via the arrow keys to maneuver between civilians to your target.

The scantily clad Foxy has a shaky hand so you will need some precision in order to aim at the correct target.  Overall, the game keeps a steady pace for those of you who enjoy fast-paced action.  The fact that you can take your time playing most levels should help anyone who has trouble reacting quickly.

I enjoyed this shooter; in particular, the ability to use various weapons was a nice twist.  Unfortunately, since I cannot use the arrow keys, controlling the spy bug is impossible and thus I could only play up until a certain level.  For those of you who have some wayaround this, I would recommend giving this game a shot, pun intended.

The audio has no effect on the game but there are some missions, which colors will matter.  Accessibility is not the object of this game but if you can work around it, shooting things is fun and for a cartoon character; she's pretty hot.  Don't look at me like that able girls!

As an added bonus for reading this far, if you enter your computer room and access your computer, you'll be able to enter cheat codes.  Enter the code "GOD HAND" to steady her hand for 100% control over aiming.  If you enjoy the game, enter your score below.

Mark is busy prepping for GDC this week, so Ioo's Web Game of the Week is really Bearstion's Web Game of the Week...
