AbleGamers Web Game of the Week: Starlight Xmas

One of the most amazing things to do on a cold winter night is to sit back and stargaze on the clear Christmas sky.  Starlight Xmas takes that concept to a whole new level.  Another one of those Armor games, Starlight pushes the boundaries of 3D puzzles yet again.

This title contains two modes, classic and puzzle.  Puzzle mode is pretty much what it sounds like, you have a bunch of stars in the sky and you need to click on one start to connect it to another. Once you've drawn a Christmas related picture, you win the level.

Classic isn't so much of a game but more of a 3D art appreciation.  In this mode, the stars are already connected for you but spun off its axis.  You then use the mouse to move around the screen in order to place the picture back into the correct point of view.  You could technically say as opposed to a one-switch game then this is a zero-switch mode.  There's no need to click on anything, simply move your mouse around the screen to solve the puzzle.

xmas_starlight_splashObviously, you're going to need the mouse to play this game.  But other than being inaccessible to keyboard users, Starlight is completely accessible.  There is no timing to worry about. In classic mode, there isn't even any clicking.  There are no colors as everything is done in a silvery white on a black background.  And there are no audio cues.  There is of course Christmas music in the background.

Overall, a pretty good puzzle game with a holiday theme.  Sip some hot chocolate, wrap some presents, and enjoy this laid-back 3D puzzler.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
