About the AbleGamers Foundation

Since 2004, the AbleGamers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has served more than 56 million members of the disabled community by advocating greater access in video games. Today, AbleGamers is a leader in the development of equipment, programs and services to those living with disabilities, hardships, and quality-of-life issues that are a result of chronic illness or trauma. AbleGamers Web Game of the Week -Elves

Nob War: Elves is a cute game that tasks you with escorting a group of elves to safety. It is a 2D side-scroller with a unique twist. To complete each level, you must destroy all the enemies on the way to the caste. The elves you control are archers, which can fire both regular arrows and fire arrows. To aid in your quest you can call on centurions and human foot soldiers to fight the enemy. In between each level there are upgrades available for purchase. Rapid Arrows fires two or more volleys at once while Fire Arrows will bypass shields and Heal Wounded resurrects the fallen elves.

At the start of the level, the elves you are tasked with escorting walk to the right continuously, so you must clear the path ahead of them and use them for combat as a last resort. However if your elves die, it’s back to the gameplay map. There are no penalties for defeat; all money earned during the battle is still there and new upgrades are still available for purchase.

Each group has a flag, and the flags bend right or left as if they are running in the wind to denote whose side the units are on. It makes playing the game very easy for color blind gamers. It is also playable two handed with the keyboard or one handed via the mouse. The only caveat is that the game requires some precision to fire arrows and is medium paced with no way to pause or slow it down.
