Pipe Madness Game Accessibility Review

Remember playing a game that had you connect pipes together to get to a certain length, all the while racing against time and a green oil-type substance to get the pipe down before you had a leak? That’s exactly what Pipe Madness is.

As with most PS minis, not a lot is done to explain how to play, but in most cases, they are extremely easy to figure out. Pipe Madness is no exception; the only controls to worry about are the “X”-button to select pipe and the D-pad to select where you want to put it.

The only thing keeping this game from being a perfect game for mobility impaired gamer is that it is a timed game, which won’t really come into play until later levels.

Again, as with most PS minis, sound won’t keep anyone from playing this game.

Finally, visually the biggest problem is the green fluid flowing through gray pipes, and might not be the easiest thing for players to see. Fonts used throughout the game could use to be a little “cleaner”, though they are still readable

On a personal note: Just because it’s a FREE Playstation Plus exclusive, I say download it, it’s FREE! If you don’t like it, delete it, it was FREE!

At a glance

Hearing:
Hearing is not necessary
Recommended score of 10 out of 10

Mobility:
Only controls used are the D-pad, “X”-button, and “O”-button (optionally).
This is a timed game.
Recommended score of 9 out of 10

Vision:
Biggest gameplay issue concerns the bright green fluid running through a medium gray pipe.

Outside of gameplay fonts used could be “cleaner” in appearance, but they are still highly visible.
Recommended score of 9 out of 10

"Your comment is too short"? Erroro messages rock.

Anyway, it's all of $4, on both PS3 and PSP.
