Seriously, although it's very nice to see video games being mainstreamed enough to warrant this kind of attention, it seems a little overkill. Conversely, Korea dedicates entire TV shows and tournaments similar to our game shows featuring nothing else than Starcraft matches. In that respect, it does make sense to put some money into advertising.
“eSports is an established part of youth culture all around the world. We look forward to positioning ourselves as a global airline that appeals to the younger generation by operating airplanes wrapped with StarCraft II images and celebrating the launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty,” Executive Vice President of Korean AirYong-won Suh told GamesRadar.
Nevertheless, I do not look forward to the day when planes become nothing more than mobile billboards. But if someone offers me enough money I will paint Yoshi on the side of my vehicle. Any takers?
