Namco Mini-Machines
The machines resemble a controller of the old Nintendo NES but very small and no start button or select, with only a steering slider and two buttons, plus a speaker.
Each machine will play a single integrated game, so there will be a different version of each machine for each of the games. The approximate price of each machine is about $10.
In the Street Fighter II fighting game there will be 3 different machines, each with different characters in the game. According to the demo, you can play against a friend who has also a machine with this game.
While the Street Fighter II version seems too frantic and might not have the feeling of controlling what happens in the game, it seems that the other two games (Xevious and Pro Baseball) could be as much fun as their original versions with images.
These machines could be of great interest to people with visual impairment, many of them already play games on the PC without seeing. The Namco mini-games could be a perfect fit since there are no images. You can find a collection of these games in Spanish on the web: www.audiojuegos.net. And in English in: www.audiogames.net.
