About the AbleGamers Foundation

Since 2004, the AbleGamers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has served more than 56 million members of the disabled community by advocating greater access in video games. Today, AbleGamers is a leader in the development of equipment, programs and services to those living with disabilities, hardships, and quality-of-life issues that are a result of chronic illness or trauma. It is our goal to ensure that all people, regardless of their disability, can use gaming as a tool to have enriched social experiences with friends, family, and the world at large.

Want to know all the coming and going of AbleGamers, well you can!

Starting on Monday morning, you will see a new tab at the top of the site, can you guess what it is going to be called? If you guessed "Kitty" you are wrong, it is going to be called "GDC 09" and there will be all the news from this year's GDC. Want to get a blow by blow of everything I do, including what we have for lunch, and what our hotel rooms looks like, and what I am wearing, then you should follow us on twitter, just follow "ablegamers" and get all the news you want!

What does our schedule look like?

Monday is a total mess, Our day starts @ 11am and goes to 9pm (and later, depends)

Tuesday is a little later, but most of the day I have at least two things going at once, I am not sure how I am going to pull off 2 things at once, but I will try. Tuesday night, there are 4 parties at once, starting @ 8 and going until 2am

Wednesday is  a Speakers Luncheon, if is like last year, it will be dull. We are going to do a booth crawl, and there is the GDC Choice Awards that night.

Thursday is the Game Accessibility SIG Roundtable @ 9am! We have an IGDA Meeting at lunch time, after that we have a meeting with the folks over at a major hardware maker. That night is the very exclusive LEVEL 99 Party, this is a speakers only event, so it should be great. If that party poops out, I can move over to the THQ World Mixer.

Friday is a little quieter, the day start @ 9am, with the 101 Roundtable that I am the speaker of, and @ 11 we have the Game Accessibility & Developers with Disabilities Social Gathering

What else do I have coming up? Well stay tuned to find out.
