Hi. I get it that KOTOR 1 is a fairly old game. But I have a question. I am trying to follow this Darkside walkthrough, right? BUT, according to that page, it reads:

"Walk around the little village and talk to people. Namely, talk to Gendar and
Rukil. They will both be very kind. Gendar will tell you about mission, and how
they wander the sewers. He will also tell you to go through the gate to get to
the sewers. Rukil will talk about the promise land, and how is apprentice is
lost. Tell him you will find his apprentice. Then walk back over to the gate.
Igear will stop you, and tell you if you give him the journals that he will
reward you. Say that you will, and later on, when you do acquire the journals,
give them to him for dark side points.

This is in the "Getting to the Under City" quest. However, MORE than frustratingly enough, I finish talking to Gendar & Rukil, right? I even asked Gendar about Mission & how to get to the sewers & also said I would find Rukil's apprentice as it said to, right? WELL, so then I "walk back over to the gate" as it said to, right? THEN at that point, according to the walkthru, that merchant, Igear is supposed to stop me & ask me to find journals, right? BUT guess what! Does he stop me? NO WAY!!!! You know, I did not even hear about any journals to begin w/!!! WHAT journals??? Please help me? How do I get Igear to stop me a 2nd time to ask me for the journals? Did I miss something? Was there someone else who I was supposed to talk to? I do not know what to do here! I am like, totally BEYOND frustrated, you know??? Please help me out! Anybody?

Thanks guys, I just put in for a 6 month sub & so far I like it. I did every Imperial storyline there is up to 10 or so, so far, like the Imperial Agent, the Warrior, the Inquisitor, the Bounty Hunter. I really like the storyline & it is fun making "Dark side" choices, even if it turns my companion off.
