Here is the short and sweet version on me. Im a stay at home mom. Ive been married since 1995. (yikes) I volunteer most of my time to organizations that help veterans, deployed active duty service memebers, and their families. I try to find time to read books. I play on pogo.com way too much. I like MMO gaming best of all.
I now have pretty much no feeling or sensation in either of my hands so at least its fun for other people to watch me fumble my controller, mouse or keyboard when I try to game. They just have to remember to duck when I decide I need to throw it. :)
Catch me on pogo.com as Camilya123. - Are You Disabled

ReconPathFinder replied to the topic Re:Finding a way to play an FPS as a quad in the forums.
We are announcing the PhysDCube, an innovative controller for those who have fine motor issues. Its a cube with one open face and clamps to your desktop. You can use up to four of these devices as they use standard USB technology and will be available to console users shortly after. Each side of the inner cube has a vinyl covered actuator, the sides and top of the cube have the same. You push the back of the cube to move forward, the sides of the cubes to either lean or move sideways, the bottom of the cube to move backwards, the outside of the cubes sides can be used to pick up items, or reload weapons, the top of the cube can be used to fire, and you may slap this as hard as you can for additional satisfactory moments. Now the cubes will be very easy to program, a interface will open up showing either 1 to 4 cubes. You simply press the side you want to program, and either hit the key on the keyboard thats needed or button the controller thats needed. Its just that easy, we want to make sure this is accessible to everyone, even those who are not very strong with computers technologies. Im not here to market a product for profit, this is a non profit adventure that we hope to get funded by the industry itself.
Firewalker and I have been chatting off and on and he's agreed to test and if it works keep our first prototype. If this can help others I certainly would love to hear from you, especially any ideas you have to make it better or even constructive criticism is most welcome. The idea is for this to be fine tuned enough for an official showing to various industry outlets. |
