Since 2004, the AbleGamers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has served more than 56 million members of the disabled community by advocating greater access in video games. Today, AbleGamers is a leader in the development of equipment, programs and services to those living with disabilities, hardships, and quality-of-life issues that are a result of chronic illness or trauma. It is our goal to ensure that all people, regardless of their disability, can use gaming as a tool to have enriched social experiences with friends, family, and the world at large.

AbleGamers' Web Game of the week is Wonderputt, a very pleasant and intricate mini-golf game. I remember back when flash games had just become really popular and there were dozens of barebones mini-golf games and I played every single one of them because I just couldn't get enough. Something about the varying course design goes straight to my pleasure center of my brain. Well, needless to say we've come a long way since then, and Wonderputt is a perfect example of this.
The entire course is on the screen at once with an isometric and colorful view to take in. Your ball will start in one area and once you complete that hole the level will evolve in front of your eyes and you will seamlessly be put on the next hole. It's a lot of fun to watch how the world changes each time and it quickly becomes something you'll look forward to. There are 19 holes in the game, just as you'd find at a traditional golf course. There's even a slight bit of puzzle solving to be seen; sometimes your ball must go to certain areas before the hole is available to you.
You putt by simply clicking the mouse, so the game's accessibility is great. To choose your direction you simply move the mouse around the ball until you're ready. How far back from the ball your mouse is gauges your shot's power. The arrow will change color depending on the strength of the shot, but it also grows in size so it's easy to tell for colorblind gamers. Sound isn't important and can be turned off at any time very easily. The ball is somewhat small compared to the large level so low-vision gamers may have trouble seeing it at all times.
There's not too much else to say about Wonderputt. If you're into mini-golf and great looking games, definitely give this one a try!
