In Poker Night at the Inventory, Penny Arcade's clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2's hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner's self-proclaimed awesome icon Strong Bad and Max - the hyperkinetic "rabbity-thing" from Sam & Max - come together on a new battleground: the poker felt.

Poker Night at the Inventory

Have you ever wanted to play Texas Hold-em against various iconic video game figures? Poker Night at the Inventory offers just that, pitting you against Strong Bad from Homestarrunner.com, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, Max from Sam and Max, and Tycho from Penny-Arcade. Even if you aren't savvy to the rules of Texas Hold-em, the game sports a very nice tutorial that you can bring up at any time to help you out. The entire game is navigated by the mouse, but there is no sensitivity option. During your turn you have unlimited time to make a decision so you're never pressured into doing things quickly. All of the dialogue, including the quick quips by the other players, is subtitled nicely though sometimes the dialogue moves very quickly.

At a Glance
Mobility: Entire game is played with the mouse, though there is no sensitivity option in-game.
Score: 9/10

Hearing: All of the dialogue in the game is subtitled well, but sometimes it moves very quickly and can be tough to read.
Score: 9/10

Vision: Color is never an issue since the card suits are red and black. All of the menu and in-game text is clear and easy to read.
Score: 10/10

Overall: If you enjoy both Texas Hold-em style poker and the accompanying video game characters, Poker Night at the Inventory does a great job of creating a unique environment around the poker table. It's also a very accessible game to pretty much everyone. Oh, and you can win Team Fortress 2 items within the game too, if you're into that sort of thing.
