Ceville is a point and click adventure game done in similar style to games like Grim Fandango or Escape from Monkey Island. The premise is fairly simple; the tyrant king Ceville (who has a Napoleonic complex) is being overthrown by an angry mob of town people. The player’s job is to guide Ceville (and a few other characters) through various environments by solving puzzles. The puzzles consist of clicking on different objects within an environment and combining them to achieve goals that progress the story. In my experience with these type of games players will either love Ceville and its unique brand of humor and gameplay or utterly detest it. The jokes in Ceville are puns, and while enjoying a good pun now and then can be entertaining, the laughs will soon fizzle out when players realize they are confronted with an entire game full of bad jokes. The gameplay in Ceville literally is hit or miss. Players will click on an object and then figure out where to click next to advance the puzzle. If a player clicks on the wrong area or item they will be greeted with jokes, groans and possibly a restart of the puzzle they are solving. Some players will enjoy the challenge of figuring out these challenges, while others will wonder why they have to repeat some of the same monotonous steps over and over again.

Graphically Ceville is not a state of the art game and will not be pushing the limit of gamer’s video cards. While Ceville may not be graphically impressive, it does have a certain charm to the way the characters are drawn in an over the top fashion with big polygons and bright colors covering the screen. The voiceovers in Ceville also fit the characters very well, it does this by adding additional humor to the over the top graphical presentation in the game. King Ceville has a whiney conniving tone fitting of his stature, while other characters like the two buffoon guards quip at each other much like mobsters Rocky and Mugsy do in Loony Tunes cartoons (ultimately ruining their plans do to the ineptness of their conversations). Overall the presentation of Ceville does a good job of engaging the player in its silly yet entertaining world.

To sum up Ceville, if a player enjoys adventure point and click games, this will be a great addition to their collection as it does a good job with the genre. However if players are into fast paced games that have constant action, little in the way of solving puzzles and high end visuals, then Ceville should be avoided at all costs.

Accessibility Review.
Mobility-5
The game can be played with the mouse only, no other options exist. The game does go at whatever pace a gamer feels comfortable and little to no precision is needed. Options for additional keyboard controls and mouse sensitivity do not exist and would have been a welcome addition to mobility. There are also no menu options to rearrange icons on the interface.

Visual- 5
There is no color blind mode but few will find navigating this game difficult without this addition. The game uses large control indicators on screen and there is no need for quick reactions to hinder players with visual disabilities. Subtitles as well as puzzle indicators are small and may be difficult for some players to see them properly.

Hearing- 8
Sound is not needed to play Ceville. Besides the very beginning of the game where a narrator speaks with no visual indication, from that point on there are subtitles throughout the whole game. Subtitles can be turned on in the options menu. Again the subtitles and puzzle indicators are a bit small and may be difficult for some to read.
