Blizzard’s graphic more than meets the eye?

You have to love the graphics that Blizzard artists masterfully create to tease the fans. Today on www.blizzard.com a new graphic, which appears to be a shattered ice crystal with a rune in the middle, appeared on the splash page. Rumors are swirling on exactly what this new icy image could mean… might it be a clue for the next World of Warcraft expansion, or is it something more ominous?

The people over at worldofwar.net , a Warcraft fan site, are convinced that the image is of Frostmuorne - the legendary sword of Arthas. While yet other sites are convinced that this might be the long-awaited introduction for Diablo three. Granted, it is odd that the blizzard has begun buying up the domain names for Diablo three, but this image looks much more like something to do with Northrend, which is the island of ice used for the setting of the next expansion of World of Warcraft.

Let us not forget, Starcraft two is right around the corner, some sites are speculating that this could be a clue on the fourth race for the new game set to come out sometime next year. Blizzard entertainment is famous for teasing its fans right before a major announcement, no matter what this is, rest assured sometime next week Blizzard will make an announcement that will please all of us... or will it?
