Wooo Hooo A New Monitor
Well my old 20" Apple Monitor was giving up on me. It had "Pixel" issues that meant that a image on the screen for about 3 minuets meant that an eerie echo of the desktop item would haunt me for the next 10 minuets or so. At the time when I got my 20 inch, it was the top of the line, and it looked great...
So it is now on the floor in my office, and I have a new one... all I can say is OMG!
I have spent money before on high tech things, but never before have I spent so little and received so much. So what did I score? Well I get a Westinghouse 24" (61 cm for the metric folks) 1920 x 1260, model number L2410NM. This thing looks great, I am not kidding, it looks so nice. You may say, "yah yah Mark, you get a nice screen, but how much did the puppy set you back?" and my reply would be simple, "It is not a puppy, it is a fine full color display that you are welcome to pet like a puppy if you are so inclined" and I would follow that by saying "$360 bones that includes shipping!"
Where did I score a deal like this? Oddly, Best Buy online. It was one of those "For the love of god get off your turkey laden butt and shop" deals.
In closing, New monitor, not a puppy, and was cheap. I do have one complaint, there is a bug in the thing that when you are connected via the HDMI port (oh wait, 2 complaints, no DVI-D) and your PC does the whole Energy Star turn your display off thing, this thing turns blue and does not ever go off.
