{sidebar id=1}Mighty Fin is an addictive underwater arcade action for iPhone and iPod Touch! This game is a lot fun and a great casual game while on the go as the controls are very simple, the graphics are basic but whimsical. The game physics are realistic making you feel like you are a part of this underwater excursion.
The main premise of the game is that you guide Fin through challenges like golden isles, arctic ice caves and vicious storms while also avoiding sharks, making large jumps over lighthouses and swimming under icebergs and dodging falling icicles. But as you go through these levels you are also allowed to collect over two dozen souvenir costumes, from sombreros to bunny ears. There are 8 levels, all the levels are replayable and never the same twice. Each round is only about one to four minutes long.
As far as the controls go, it is a one touch as you hold your finger to make Fin the Mighty Fish dive. Then you release your finger to make him jump. Once he lands back in the water you use your finger to guide him to collect the bubbles. It is best to collect these prized bubbles in a rapid succession so you can get the point multiplier. You will need a lot of precision for this game. One handed gamers should have a very easy time with this game. I also like that you can pause anytime making it is perfect for anyone that needs to take breaks.
Deaf gamers will not have any issue as all of the instructions are presented in a nice large and readable font. There are no audio cues, just the written instructions at the start of the game. The game is mostly blue as it based in water and there is a lack of contrasting colors; most gamers with color blindness shouldn’t encounter any problems.
Overall, this game is great for a quick casual game on the run. Play with friends to compete for high scores and gold medals in Apple’s Gaming Center. Get your feet wet and purchase this addicting Fish game that keeps you coming back for more. All this fun is just 99 cents available in the app store starting now.
