About the AbleGamers Foundation

Since 2004, the AbleGamers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has served more than 56 million members of the disabled community by advocating greater access in video games. Today, AbleGamers is a leader in the development of equipment, programs and services to those living with disabilities, hardships, and quality-of-life issues that are a result of chronic illness or trauma. It is our goal to ensure that all people, regardless of their disability, can use gaming as a tool to have enriched social experiences with friends, family, and the world at large.

Want to go to the VGA in Cali?

spore_new3.jpgSince the launch of EA’s hit game Spore, the world has created nearly 50 million different creatures, vehicles, and buildings! In recognition of this grand achievement, EA is teaming up with Spike TV to offer a contest in which the winner will get to attend the 2008 Spike Video Game Awards.

The contest is simple; create your own 60-second short film using either the video game Spore or the Spore Creature Creator. The video should then be uploaded to HERE and the official entry form filled out no later than midnight on December 2.

Submissions will be judged by a panel including Will Wright immediately following the contest deadline with the best video being announced on December 4. The contest winner and a guest will receive round trip tickets to Culver City, California for the sixth annual Spike Video Game Awards. Additionally, ground transportation to the event and a two-night hotel stay will be provided.
