Since 2004, the AbleGamers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, has served more than 56 million members of the disabled community by advocating greater access in video games. Today, AbleGamers is a leader in the development of equipment, programs and services to those living with disabilities, hardships, and quality-of-life issues that are a result of chronic illness or trauma. It is our goal to ensure that all people, regardless of their disability, can use gaming as a tool to have enriched social experiences with friends, family, and the world at large.
{sidebar id=1}Finally, all of the classes for the upcoming Star Wars the Old Republic are finally known. The Sith Inquisitor and the Jedi Consular are the last two classes to join the ranks of the next generation Star Wars MMO. For those who have lost track, the eight classes that we will be able to choose from are the following:
The classes are rather well-balanced but there is still a certain disappointment that the next Star Wars game will pigeonhole us into classes, reminiscent of every other MMO RPG. Many of us were hoping to see a continuation of the free to choose your own destiny type of game that the original Star Wars Galaxies was before it was ruined by the NGE.
The comments I have heard so far from the loyal SWG fans have consisted of “you mean, there isn't a creature handler?” “What do you mean I can't be a dancer?” “I don't want to go kill things I just want to put down harvesters!”
Unfortunately, those of us who were hoping for SWG2 are going to be sorely disappointed. This is not going to be a sequel, or a do over, or redemption. No, this is going to be its very own thing with its own unique flavor.
Nevertheless, that does not stop those of us who were loyal fans from hoping SWTOR will add as much they possibly can from our old favorite niche game. If you would like to read more about each individual class and what they will offer, check out the details on every class.
