    Hello AbleGamers

My name is Rico and I am new here. I am a programmer and I do homebrew video games as a hobby. My specialty is Full Motion Videogames (FMV). As in laserdisc games like Dragon's Lair. This is my first time interacting with the disabled community so please be gentle with me ^__^. I hope I am posting in the right place.

I'd like to announce my latest project. A one button adaptation of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. I created a set of programs that allows you to play these games using only one button. For example, one button to move the hero of the game, same button to use his sword, etc. It's simple but it's still very entertaining. I was inspired by another website called oneswitch.org. It seemed like a good cause to make these classics accessible to disabled gamers. I am giving them away for free in hopes someone here might enjoy them.

While my programs are free to download, you still need to provide the video media to play them. I made my games compatible with the downloadable versions of Dragon's Lair and Space Ace HD. Those can be purchased at Amazon.com and a few other places. BTW I am not related to the publisher of these games. It's just that this is the only way to be able to do this legally.

If you would like to know more you can visit the project's website at http://www.fmvgames.com/one-button-games.

I read a sticky about people here doing game reviews. I think that would be great but I am not sure what I need to do or who do I need to contact. If I this isn't the right place for this kind of thing then someone let me know. Anyway hello again and if you have anything to say about my project please leave me message.

Sounds pretty good. Can't be enough of these types of companies to be honest. It's not like the games (industry) will suffer for it.

I know of Invader Zim; I like that style. My games will be in some form or cartoon style as I like cell-shaded such as Borderlands and really cartoony looks like Orcs Must Die. 'Real' looking games are fantastic and can show what can be done with video games but I personally think that most games should be separated from reality and look a little cartoony.

I hope you get everything going and hopefully, open some doors for more (potential) companies like yours and mine!

    Hi Zippen,

in the KinesicMouse you can adjust the maximum rotation angles and the dead zone angles. So it is possible to work with small values of only a few degrees. Currently we only support one value for an axis. So if you can turn your head further to the right than to the left, the left maximum rotation angle will be your value for the settings.

To increase the accuracy with small movements you have to increase the smoothing values. This setting takes an average of the last X measured positions. The higher the value the better is the accuracy, but you will loose reaction time.

I tried it with these settings which might also work for you:

    Maximum Rotation Angles:
    horizontal +/- 4°
    vertical +/- 4°

    Dead Zone:
    horizontal +/- 0°
    vertical +/- 0°

    Cursor Acceleration:
    2.2

    Cursor Speed:
    max: 150

    Signal Smoothing:
    RotationX: 13
    RotationY: 13

Dampen Animation units during Cursor Movement:
    off
