i know the following from older thread.
Company of Heroes & its expansions Dawn of Wars 2 World of Goo Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 + expansions King's Bounty: The Legend Starcraft 1 & most likely 2 Anno 1701 & expansion Sins of a Solar Empire Audio Surf The Witcher W.O.W Fallout 1 & 2 Knights of the Old Republic Planescape Torment L. O.T.R Online EVE Online Warhammer Ultima Online Total War Guild Wars Neverwinter Nights Sacred Diablo 1 & 2 Titan Quest Immortal Throne Loki Freedom Force vs The Third Reich Dungeion Siege 1 & 2 please list other mousable games. p.s. i should note, im not physically handicapped in anyway, and wont pretend to be out of respect to everyone here.(though i have numerous mental disabilities) i hope im still welcome in this forum. im just a really bad typer. i can play games with 360 controller, but theirs not that many games that utilize it. of course theirs xpadder. but nothing comes to the convenience that a mousable game brings. and again, im sorry. didn't know where else to post this. -clear |

Clear, you do not have to be disabled to be a part of AbleGamers
Thanks for the list, I am sure that there are a few people that can add to this list (looks at Bearstion) |

*Looks at games shelves* uhm, the list could get rather... long.
Course if you do not include older games or point and click adventures it's a different matter. 7th guest, 11th hour, clandestiny are brilliant puzzle games. Monkey island 1-3, The Dig, full throttle, legend of kyrandia 1-3, Gabriel Knight 1-3, King's Quest 1-7... Oh I could keep going for ages. (Thinks back to original lemmings.) Some of the Tex Murphy games are almost purely mouseable, if you do not count hitting space to switch between movement and interact modes. Freelancer is also fully mouse playable, but it is easier if you can use the function keys. Also it depends on the kind of mouse. If you have a Razer/Logitech gaming mouse the list gets longer. Based on your list I would assume Jade Empire is also fully mouse. Since it uses the same engine as nwn2. |

I believe that all the CnC games are playable with only the mouse. Also the Age of Empires games, Civ IV, and LOTR BFME2, are playable only with the mouse.

As Bearstion noted, all of the games by Popcap (popcap.com) have been designed to work with a mouse and a single (left) click. That makes them work well on tablets with a touch screen or stylus, but also makes them fantastic for people who can only use a mouse/trackball/joystick, and for head tracking or eye tracking.
And now this thread is the perfect resource for all of those things. Thanks! |

Does anyone know if Mass Effect is playable with only the mouse?
|
|
|

I do not know. I can ask the folks over at BioWare, but they are not quick and getting back to us. So before I go and try to crack this nut... Mass Effect 1 or 2?

I was thinking of 1, but would it be possible to ask for both?

I'm replaying it to get some extra saves for importing into me2.
As far as I can tell not with a normal mouse. You need too many keys/commands for a basic mouse. It's based on the UT3 engine. I can get quite a ways with my razer gaming mouse, but that one has a massive number of configurable buttons. To give you an idea: open inventory, open character menu, recall mako, interact, fire, alt fire/zoom, pauze/action menu, take cover, sprint, wasd, use medigel/repair mako. |

Thanks for the information. Oh, well. I'm currently enjoying Knights of the Old Republic and Dragon age origins, so that will keep me busy for quite a while.

Mass Effect isn't playable with just the mouse. Unless you have like a 14-buttons mouse to bind all the essential keys, you can't play the game effectively with just a 2-button mouse. It plays like a FPS so you need to use the keyboard too. I'm assuming Mass Effect 2 will use the same control scheme

Does anybody have any information on the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic, i.e. whether it will use the same control system as KOTOR and KOTOR2, which we know is playable with mouse only?

I have a secondary sort of question - my son can use a mouse like setup: a joystick and a left click on his foot, he is prone 90% of the time he plays. But he is not that fast.
Of the mouse only games, can anyone recommend games that also let you pause and set up your actions? He dos this with Spore right now & I hear Dragon age has this feature. Are there others? If the action is too fast, he can't keep up. Thanks! |

Need to be careful to make sure my memory does not play tricks on me. But I know Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 have this feature. So does Knights Of the Old Republic 1/2. Less certain but pretty sure I'm about Jade Empire and Dungeon siege 1.
This is not what you asked, but with that setup you should be able to play the episodic sam and max and some other adventure games. |

The mini games can be a little tricky, but I believe there are mods to disable them completely, although I was able to manage getting through the whole game (I had to get some rapid fire mouse button clicking help with one of the "shooting ships" mini games). |

mythos
it is now officially released. can be played in a Window which makes it possible to utilize a on-screen keyboard. on-screen keyboard not necessarily needed. http://www.mythos.com/ Guild-Wars online game without monthly fees (purchase of the game itself is not very expensive anymore]. Very beautiful graphics, very sophisticated interface that can be changed in size, position, etc. not really a massively multiplayer online game like World of Warcraft where anything happens in a huge world with thousands of players but with so called instances. Missions and quests take place in closed areas which can be entered alone or with parties consisting of up to eight players. it is not mandatory to play with other players as you can create a party with computer controlled henchmen, too. The cities outside of the mission areas are open which means there you can meet hundreds of other players. can be played windowed. On-screen keyboard is needed for chat function. guildwars 2 is under development right now. http://guildwars.com/ Kings Bounty legend Kings bounty armored princess round-based game with beautiful graphics very interesting game mechanics. http://www.kings-bounty.com/ fallout tactics starcraft |
