Never trust someone you don't know to watch your back.
Everyone on the internet is the toughest, coolest person in the world. According to them.

Learned through MMO's:
You never know what someone else is going through on the other side of the screen.
People will surprise you.

Playing D&D, the board type.
Learned whom you could trust, whom you could not trust.
Learned who was fun, who was a dud.
There's something about confronting a bunch of screaming, weaponed nasties that brings out the real in a person.
BTW. The lady ended up with me; the guy she came with was a dud.

- Never take a portal that you did not cast or do not know where it goes
- Never trade with someone unless they have a torch (I will give someone a special title if they can explain that one)
- You can make real friends in a fake world
- Never say you quit, because people are going to ask if they have your stuff

No matter how much you try sometimes, bad things can still happen.
Determination and persistance pays off.
It is cool to have an imagination.

Haha, the advice to never take a portal that you didn't cast is gold. I ended up in the middle of the Olthoi Horde Nest naked a few times in Asheron's Call. We used to work so hard to get portals to insane places, just so we could trick our friends into hopping in.

Heh, funny how that works. I thought back to Ultima online. You had the almost instant death protals, but also the absurd places ones. Like inside floors, under bridges and a few other rare ones. Had a friend that collected recall runes for impossible to reach locations.

Well, in the Sims you can see try things in terms of social interactions and see if they work...
Also, in racing games that people who cheat usually win!

1. When in doubt, empty the clip.
2. Always doubt.
3. Emptying the clip is just making sure.
4. Always make sure.
5. There's no such thing as overkill.
6. No matter how much or how long you practice or how good you get, someone will find a way to exploit system flaws to their advantage. In America, we call this the legal system.
7. If it is very dark, you are likely to be eaten by a grue.
8. Donate blood.
9. Bards need alcohol to be effective. (This also applies to drummers.)
10. No matter how much aggro an area heal generates, it's nothing compared to spouse / partner / significant other aggro if you miss a date because of gaming.

Wear Sunscreen
Dance it's a revolution
All Italians wear red and blue suit overalls
You can always save and restart right before an important decision
Don't take the red pill
Ninjas Rap
Haduken is a powerful word
Corp Por is even more powerful
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults, if you learn how to do this, tell me how
But trust me on the sunscreen

If you suddenly get a lot of free stuff, get your guard up.
Listen to the music.
Whenever something looks too good/easy to be true, it almost always is.

Gaming online has definitely taught me that most females are actually guys.
(Maybe not so applicable in real life.)

Being nice isn't always the best option
Delegate tasks to those best suited to them
Fun is important
If your think of yourself as a Sim you take much better care of yourself (at least I do)
There is nothing wrong with naming that ogre after your ex and killing it repeatedly if it'll make you feel better.
Talking back to the game feels better than it feels silly
Your bags/carrying capacity will never be big enough

Well, what I have learned is my point is proved that mmo's suck, ppl flame me, I cannot get ahead w/o someone being nice enough to hold my hand, and that single player games such as The Elder Scrolls are much better for someone like me. Although on one MMO, I did come across someone who is an Aspie or something.
